New Makiwara (Striking Boards) in Home Dojo!
Many Thanks for the recent upgrades to our traditional striking boards (Japanese: Makiwara) installed by our friend Sensei Ed Sumner and assisted by several of our dojo members. Hopefully this photo provides some insight into the workmanship and care of this effort. I also want to express my sincere appreciation to Sensei Teruo Chinen who asked Sensei Sumner to take on this improvement project.
